Year 12 Retreats
The year 12 retreat is always one of the highlights for the students at their final year at the college. It is held early in term one as it is essential for the students to understand the role God can play in their lives as they plan for their future.
The retreat is based on the Marist Brothers Retreat Programme. The Marist Brothers Retreat Programme is a style of retreat used in Catholic schools throughout Australia. The retreat programme is roughly in three parts;
Knowing myself
Knowing my family
Knowing my God
Students are given reflections, music, activities and games to highlight and emphasise important aspects of their life in these areas. The retreat is a real "hands on" understanding for the students as they spend two nights and three days sharing and caring with each other.
The highlight of the retreat is the participation of the students in the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist . Each retreat site has a visiting priest who assists the students in the sacramental programme.
